Patient case study video launched for Ottobock

The first UK stroke patient to receive a new implantable electrical stimulation system from mobility experts Ottobock Healthcare is featured in the latest video case study from Media Safari.

Lida Litras, a 47 year old stroke survivor from London and sufferer of drop foot, has received a new lease of life following pioneering neurosurgery to surgically implant a device called ActiGait®. Designed to stimulate a patient’s nervous system and overcome the debilitating condition, Lida is now enjoying a far greater range of movement and mobility, leading to increased confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.

The video will be used to highlight the many patient benefits of the new device supported by a proactive media launch to national broadcast and print media as well as trade medical press. The video will also be used by Ottobock’s sales and business development teams to bring to life the positive impact on patient mobility on daily routines such as climbing stairs.

“Since the ActiGait implant I can walk effortlessly and have no pain whatsoever, it’s a million times better than anything I’ve had before,” commented Lida Litras. “My biggest wish is to help other sufferers to the stage I’m now at, living an independent life. Now I have the confidence to go out, dress the way I want and I feel normal again. I can look forward to the summer and wear my dresses and sandals again.”
