CIPR gold win for best use of social media

Media Safari scooped a gold win at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards 2011 for Best Use of Social Media.

The campaign, ‘Bitdefending The Nation’, evoked a sense of a nation under attack from cyber criminals, viruses & malware. The Social Media strategy included a highly proactive campaign using Twitter, digital media relations, blogger outreach and Facebook to reach key influencers, IT security personnel and prospects.

The judges thought this was a “well executed, comprehensive social media campaign – structured on a technical level which secured exceptional coverage for their client and delivering a serious message.”

Matt King, Digital Director at Media Safari commented, “The Award night was a great team night out and resulted in a gold win that is testimony to everyone’s hard work.  Our company philosophy of ‘exploring communication’ means we continually push the boundaries in social media tactics and strategy.”
